Looking to experience a little hometown hospitality? VFW Post 817 has been bringing the Flat Rock community together for generations. Named in honor of the men and women who have served our country, the post is a gathering place where veterans, their families, and friends share stories, support one another, and strengthen the bonds that make small towns special.
Post Commander Jerry Thornton and the dedicated volunteers work throughout the year to host community events, charitable fundraisers, and some of Flat Rock's favorite dances. Whether you're attending a fish fry, lending your support to a local cause, or enjoying an evening on the dance floor, you'll quickly discover that everyone is treated like a neighbor.
VFW Post 817 is a reminder that service doesn't end with military duty. In Flat Rock, it continues through friendship, volunteerism, and a commitment to giving back to the community.
